Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art

Yesterday I visited the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art.  Gorgeous collection - here are two of my favorites:
Sigmar Polke's "Apparizione (1-3)"
Anselm Kiefer "The High Priestess/Zweistromland"
More that I loved (they can't all be my favorite!).  The art below is from the "I Still Believe in Miracles" exhibit, and features works from the Selvaag Art Collection.

Olafur Eliasson's "Black and Yellow Double Polyhedron Lamp
Doug Aitken's "Metallic Handstand"

Fischli & Weiss "Untitled (Blumen)"

Damien Hirst's "Eulogy"

And finally, one that I rather didn't like...

Damien Hirst's "Mother and Child (Divided)"

The museum description says that Hirst is trying to complicate Christian iconography and to make a statement about the use of animals in science.  BUT, as we can see, it is jarring to see the insides of the cows contrasted with their soft fur and the baby's tongue sticking out.  Personally, I just find it sad and upsetting!  It reminded me of the recent film Okja - https://youtu.be/AjCebKn4iic  and made me glad that I am a vegetarian.  :-(
